Mikhail Bakunin is the only pirate to be featured on Lost so far. Like most pirates, he wears an eyepatch, is Russian, and has a billion lives.
Fans have hailed his finest moment as when he took on the closest thing Lost has to a ninja, Jin. It is commonly debated about the meaning and implications of this scene, although Damon Lindelof has suggested it "could be the most important scene in the series since Sawyer hunted a frog."
His lowest point is generally agreed upon to be when he killed Charlie with a grenade. Mikhail survived, however, as it is one of the Rules that pirates cannot die in water.
